Co-creation and Children
Creativity come naturally to children. They will draw, play, act-out a scenario with little inhibition and imaginative suggestions. We have been running co-creation sessions with children for many years, bringing innovative new product ideas, assessment of products and new ways of thinking directly to our clients, straight from the children who are using their products or services. Based on play therapy techniques used in therapeutic settings, we use a mix of art, drama and play to allow children to express their ideas, feelings, hopes and aspirations to client teams through our co-creation workshops, run with clients present, and online tools. We often include siblings, parents, grandparents and other carers in sessions also. See Barbie Clarke’s blog posts here and here which explore co-creation further.
